Denis Manturov gave the go-ahead for the construction of the RusSilica plant

Nizhny Novgorod Region, Dzerzhinsk, June 1. - Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation - Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov together with the Governor of the region Gleb Nikitin and the Head of GK "Titan" Mikhail Sutyaginsky during their working visit to Nizhny Novgorod region took part in the ceremony of launching the construction of "RusSilica" LLC plant for production of micronized silica gel and stable silica gel.

The production site of the investment project is located in the special economic zone of industrial-production type "Kulibin", and the launch of production is planned for 2025.

The general designer of the new plant was the company ARCO®. Currently, the company performs designer's supervision of the plant under construction under the agreement of designer's supervision.

"Today we are taking the first step in implementing a very important project for the Russian industry. The plant that will be built here will become the key silica gel and silicazole production in our country. I have to say that the demand for these products is only growing. Over the last 5 years the global demand for it has increased by more than 1.5 times and this trend will continue.

This production is included in the list of projects that have a significant impact on related industries. To solve such an ambitious task in 2022 the enterprise was granted a preferential loan from the Industrial Development Fund in the amount of 5 billion rubles. This should become a good basis for mastering production of silica gel and stable silica gel." - Denis Manturov noted.

Today, 75% of the Russian market's demand for silica gel and silica gel is covered by imports. But from the launch of the new complex (in 2025) we will be able to fundamentally change the situation and ensure raw material independence in the relevant nomenclature by more than 80%.

The products of the future enterprise have a wide range of applications in various industries: food, pharmaceuticals, optics and electronics, steel, production of special dyes, paints, polymers, rubber products, catalysts and much more.
