The second stage of the micronized silica gel plant will be built in Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod Region

On June 7, on the margins of SPIEF-2024, a trilateral agreement on intentions to implement an investment project worth more than 17 billion rubles in Nizhny Novgorod Region was signed. The document was signed by Gleb Nikitin, Head of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Mikhail Sutyaginsky, co-owner of RusSilika LLC, and Mikhail Klishin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Joint-Stock Bank Russia.

In 2024-2028, RusSilica LLC, a resident of the Kulibin special economic zone of industrial production type (SEZ IPT), will expand import-substituting production of silicic acid solution products. With the support of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation, the company will build the second stage of a plant for the production of micronized silica gels and stable silicasols, create its own power generating capacity (5 MWh) and install steam generators with a capacity of 15 t/h.

The first stage of the plant has been under construction since 2023 and will be commissioned in 2025. It is expected that after commissioning of the second stage the plant will annually produce up to 12 thousand tons of silica gels and up to 42 thousand tons of silicasols.

Designing and construction support within the framework of author's supervision of the general designer is carried out by ARCO.

RusSilica LLC was established in Omsk in December 2020 and re-registered in Dzerzhinsk in May 2021. The company specializes in the production of other basic inorganic chemicals. It is related by founder to Titan-Polymer, a manufacturer of plastic plates, strips, pipes and profiles, which operates in the Pskov region. Both companies are part of the Titan diversified group of companies (JSC Titan Group of Companies).
