Governor Victor Tolokonsky took part in the Grand Opening Ceremony of the new project of the Krasnoyarsk Non-Ferrous Metals Plant: R&D Park. This is the first technological park in Russia that specialized on research and implementation of innovational methods in the field of precious metals. Based on R&D Park, a technological center, the analytical lab of Krascvetmet and the residents (Russian and foreign companies and institutions) will conduct practical scientific development that will allow for new approaches to work in the field and to raise the effectiveness of production.

The R&D Park is a technological platform that possesses all of the necessary equipment for conducting laboratory experimental – industrial tests. All of its residents receive free access to the project’s infrastructure, which allows for the research to be conducts in the most modern conditions. They will also have access to precious metals and continuing consulting support of the factory’s specialists. Moreover, Krascvetmet plans to support residents in project financing and in accessing major international and Russian tenders. Victor Tolokonsky has stated that this project is important for further development of both the factory and the entire region. “Not only is there a very high concentration of the most modern and unique equipment here, there is also an attractive and quality environment, which will attract scientists and researchers. Moreover, the closeness and the openness of a real industrial platform, allows to build the processes of integration for innovational developments with maximum effectiveness, which will significantly reduce implementation time and improve its quality. I am certain that after the Krasnoyarsk Non-Ferrous Metals Plant receives such a park, it will enter the market with new products, new technologies and make a significant leap into the future within the shortest time” – the leader of the Region has stated.

The students of the basis faculty of the Siberian Federal University will also be learning here, which will strengthen the quality of their preparation and bring young specialists capable of generating breakthrough ideas to the development and research done at the Park.

We will add that the technological park with the area of 13 000 square meters was being built over the course of two years.
